Adobe Flash Player is a tool that runs in the background and allows for animated clips to play in your browser. For many years it was the gold standard and used in more than 80% of websites. Over the past few years, that number has dropped drastically and Adobe has announced that it will discontinue the tool at the end of 2020.

1. Click on the DOWNLOAD button on the sidebar to jump straight to the Adobe download page.
2. Before clicking the INSTALL NOW button, you can choose to accept or refuse the two McAfee optional offers.
3. Before the program installs, you can set your update preferences. Since Adobe is known to update Flash frequently, I recommend you choose "Allow Adobe to install updates" and then click next.
4. When the file finishes downloading, double-click on it to install the program.

If you are using Chrome then there is no need to download Flash, because it's built into the browser. However, for security reasons, the default setting for Flash is 'disabled'.

1. Click on the menu button (3 dots on the top right corner of your browser).
2. Open the Settings.
3. Scroll all the to the bottom and click Advanced.
4. Click on the Site Settings link.
   
5. Scroll down until you see Flash, and click on it.
6. If it says "Block sites from running Flash (recommended)", click the toggle button to change it to "Ask first".

Now, anytime you go to a site that has Flash elements in it, you will be prompted to allow or block. It's strongly recommended to only allow access to sites that you trust.

Much like Chrome, the Microsoft Edge browser has Flash functionality built-in, but disabled. Follow these steps to enable Flash.

1. Open the menu bar by clicking on the three dots, located on the top right corner of the browser.
2. Click on SETTINGS.
3. On the left sidebar, click ADVANCED.
4. Toggle "Use Adobe Flash Player" to "On".
